The past two days have mainly been spent in the garden making the most of it not raining as I’m sure many of you, especially in the UK are appreciating too. I have a working garden which takes quite a lot of work at times. We grow fruit, veg, herbs, trees and flowers, all in all it’s lovely. Last year was a year of resting so no veg was grown, this year we’re already planning what is going to go where but first it need a good spring clean and move around. We are also creating a reading and relaxing space at the top where I’m training my jasmine. It’s also under small boys horse chestnut tree which is ten years old and coming on lovely.
And that is my creative challenge for today. It may not be a crafty one today but its very creative, we use what we find lying around and have plans for the old tyres etc. it’s a little like allotment gardening where everything gets used and nothing thrown away.
As you can see I didn’t get too many photos before I realised how dark it was, I’d become swept up in t he smells and creativity of solving problems and finding just the right places for things. My main problem are my neighbours who reach over the fence and hack at anything which remotely looks as though its even thinking about growing close to their fence. So my jasmine is now trailed against a free standing support using my Grandads good old orange garden string. The colour being my middle finger up to the idiots who need to stop trying to make my life hell.
Enough of the talking anyway, I’m rather tired and hungry ohhhhh and I also have a can of cider 🙂 I’m going to wassail this evening to ensure of a good crop of apples this year
