I have to admit something to you, I have an addiction that I can’t seem to stop, I don’t actually want to stop either. It’s photography. I loved it when I was younger but got fustraitied with the limitation disposable cameras gave me so for years didn’t do it. Could never afford a real camera or do photography courses so imagine my happiness when the digital eara came upon us. Mainly smart phones until I bought a small digital one then moved onto a Nikon D80 and iPhone 4S
So then next comes what to take photos of, I have been told that I see the beauty in the smallest of things, or that I help other view the world in a different way. Sure I take the usual pictures any mum does mainly of the kids, Food and the odd quirky things, I also tend to take lots of photos of the things I make.
It’s more since having my iPhone though that I found Instagram and needless to say the photo a day challenges. I’ve been doing the fat mum slim one since July 2012, and now I have found more.
I’ve spent a while working out which ones I’m going to follow an have narrowed it down to two more. As I said its an addiction but I’ve found these things really helpful with my progression as a photographer. Giving me a subject everyday as a guide it pushes me to think outside of the box, think about lighting, angles, filters and such.
So as well as #fmsphotoaday I’m going to be doing the ones by @dididreamer and @kaylameyerl
