Yes it’s another little post about crochet, don’t worry I am planning on other subjects too but I really can’t believe how much I am loving crochet.
Before now I’ve mainly used peg looms for making things, I have several different kinds from the plastic circular ones, straight ones, wooden weaving sticks and a large wooden peg weaving block.
Because of my loom love over the years I have collected quite a bit of wool ( yes I know I’m supposed to call it yarn unless its made from wool but I don’t care, I don’t like the term yarn) I have spent this morning so far sorting it all out and re finding it all, uploading what I can onto Ravelery
I do have quite a bit it appears and my picnic basket is rather full to the brim
So my plan for today is to finish the granny square I started the other day, then I’m making more things using the magic ring. I am now confident with it even though they remind me of cats bottoms
The rather large ring on the left is my little experiment, as its felting wool (actually real wool) I’m trying out a new way of making felted bracelets. This is the base and intend to felt it down then needle felt and embroider it. Of course I need to work out how much it shrink down to which is why the hole is rather large.
I shall update this post later once it has gone through the first felting process
This is felted at 40 degrees in the washing machine, I’m going to run it through a 60 wash before I dry and needle felt it
