Yesterday I was trying to figure out what I was going to do with my day. I was supposed to of been meeting my friend for coffee but she wasn’t well but you know what? I went to Hinckley anyway.
I took a lovely walk into town the sun was out, birds singing and it really felt like spring as I walked though the park
I got into town and thought that I would just look around the usual shops and the flea market to buy some watch bits so i could make some more things. but as I got closer to town it soon became apparent that it wasn’t open. Stupid bloody country being Christian based and Christian led. I have nothing against people believing what they want to but this country really needs to be secular, but my annoyance was ca
It was after that when I thought “sod it go to Hinckley anyway” so I did. Now this is something completely out of my comfort zone, it would mean going to a different town on a bus I don’t know. I have the same fear when I go on trains, especially on my own. So after a little detour to the wool shop and a portion of pork and crackling from Rods roast I bit the bullet and went anyway. The bus wasn’t as much as I thought it would be which is odd. It costs £3.20 for a return into town that takes 15-20 minutes to walk and that is about a mile away from where i live and £3.70 to get to a different town about 7 miles away!! It makes no sense.
I had a lovely day, didn’t get lost and sure people thought I was a crazy person walking around with nothing on my feet, wishing people good morning… Yes I do talk to strangers, that’s how you make new friends.
After a very successful shopping trip comprising of and old vintage suit case for a fiver, a couple of magazines (only costing £1) I also found an old child’s musical box and plastic carriage clock both are going to be taken apart and. I came home
I’d treated myself to a bit of steak and had that with mushrooms for tea, watched the rest of the mentalist while working out how I could make a cosy out of the wool I purchased
So now I’m sat in the morning sun drinking coffee trying to work out a plan for today. It certainly isn’t barefoot weather though
