I really am blessed to have such awesome friends, they make life so much easier just by being awesome and lovely. Yesterday small boy and I were very blessed to go to my friends house, a friend who use to be my art teacher at school !! She’s such a beautiful inspirational lady not to mention creative which as an art teacher goes a little without saying. She amazing and amongst her many talents makes things out of old tins Look what she makes
Our mission was to make a fish each as they are the easiest to start with. Small boy was really looking forward to having a creative day as was I, oh and getting out of the house
After deciding on design and which tins we were going to use it was time to cut out our fish bits, then after a few other techniques it was time to start assembling it
I’m really proud of small boy, he works so much better when it’s hands on learning and of course this was. He wasn’t phased about using the tools, I could be said he was a little too excited to use the little blow torch. He’s also a natural at soldering.
This is his finished fish
This is mine
He’s now requested that we start out own collection of tins and get the tools needed to make more, of course I’ve said yes it would be bad parenting if I’d said no and I do have quite a few idea of what I want to make, especially things for the garden
I’m going to have to do a shout out for old tins I think.
