As I sit here I can feel the pulse in the bottom of my very, very dirty feet. I’m currently sat in town waiting for my friend while pondering on thoughts. I’m tired and am having trouble thinking straight and not even my cup of coffee appears to be making any difference. I have no idea what today is going to bring but I can’t sit here all day, I have errands to run and then home for lunch, work and planning the week with my boy.
There was a slight frost when I set off at 8am this morning. I decided to try and do the five miles as soon as possible each day and it was a lovely morning for a walk. Today I was prepared for any possibility of my phone running out of battery by taking a battery charger and pack with me.
I received the usual amount of odd looks that I get and had some lovely conversations with dog walkers about being barefoot, glass and of course the reason why I’m walking 5 miles a day for a week. But it wasn’t long before my mind switched to the girls and women who do the walk everyday without a choice, the feelings overwhelmed me at times so I found myself focusing on the beauty that surrounded me.
Various sensations underfoot
Some more pleasant than others and I did have to keep an eye out for lots and lots of glass
Being completely honest I’m not sure how I am feeling. I have had to write this post in sections around the rest of my day and with what appears to be limited brain power. After getting home at about midday I realised I’d been awake for 7 hours and had walked not just my five mile challenge but also a couple around town, I’d also forgot a couple of things that I needed.
I am glad after lunch Monday’s are work and home Ed planning followed by mindfulness exercises for both me and the boy because my mind has a tired haze around it even though physically I feel fine. My coordination has changed and my natural writing flow isn’t here, it’s a case of I have so much to say uet getting it from brain to fingers isn’t happening. I also appear to be having to go back over what’s already been written and do a lot of editing purely as it didn’t make sense or I’d repeated myself on more than one occasion. So I am going to leave you with a photo of today’s route, and yes I appear to of walked in a shape of a penis at one point which has amused me.
